I love teaching and I have taught many different grade levels. This is my second year teaching 4th grade here at Glacier Gateway, although it's my 13th year teaching. When I'm not teaching or searching Pinterest for new teaching ideas, I love crafting, which includes acrylic painting, embroidery, and knitting. I also love reading, daily walks, hiking in Glacier National Park, kayaking on Flathead Lake, and taking frequent road trips in and around our beautiful state.
I have been married to my handsome husband, Richard, for 31 wonderful years. We have two grown children. Our youngest child, Alli, is in her second year of medical school in Lynchburg, VA. Our son, Wes, and his wife, who live in Charlotte, NC, have a beautiful 1 year old son named Everett. Richard and I live here in Columbia Falls. We are the live-in caregivers of his elderly parents, who both suffer from dementia.
My classroom theme this year is Road Trips/Adventure. When I think of adventure, I think about travel, seeing new people, places and things, and learning new things. I hope that my students will share my enthusiasm for life and learning.
